Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa to address the SAPS Annual National Commemoration Day

Pretoria - Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will tomorrow, Sunday 4 September 2016, address on behalf of President Jacob Zuma, the South African Police Services’ Annual Commemoration Day at the Union Buildings, in Pretoria.

The National Commemoration Day is convened annually in honour of and as a mark of respect for all those members of the South African Police Services  who lost their lives in the line of national duty to ensure all South Africans are and feel safe. This year’s commemoration day is in honour of those South African Police Services members who paid the supreme sacrifices between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016.

The government dips its banners in solemn memory of those sons and daughters of our country who paid with their lives in the service of our nation and reiterates its condolences to those families who lost their loved ones during this period.
