President Ramaphosa to brief Parliament on country’s investment drive and on efforts to restore credibility of institutions

Pretoria - President Cyril Ramaphosa will, as part of his constitutional mandate, update members of Parliament, and the nation at large on a number of key issues in a question and answer session in the National Assembly tomorrow, Tuesday, 08 May 2018 at 14h00. 
 
The President will update the nation on, among other issues, the country’s investment campaign to grow the economy, create jobs and reduce inequality. He will also cover the role of competition authorities in opening up markets and promoting small business.
  
The President will brief members of parliament on the measures being undertaken to restore the credibility of the country’s security agencies, and the tasks the country must undertake to heal the wounds of the past.
 
Questions for oral reply by the President is one of the mechanisms utilised by Parliament to hold the President and the National Executive accountable and are scheduled for at least once a quarter.
