Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa to answer questions in the NCOP

Cape Town - Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver oral replies to questions from members of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) tomorrow, Wednesday 25 March 2015 in the NCOP chambers, parliament, Cape Town. Questions on the order paper include among others:

 

1. Whether the government has considered the impact of the recent proliferation of attacks against nationals in government’s attempts to foster social cohesion in our communities

 

2.  Whether any progress has been made to date by the technical war room established by cabinet in December 2014 regarding the 5-point plan devised as a turn-around strategy for Eskom to address the energy crisis in South Africa.

 

3. Whether processes have resumed to establish the SA Development Partnership Agency as envisaged by the 8th Session of the German-South Africa Binational Commission held in Berlin in 2012

 

4. Whether SA has signed any bilateral agreements with Russia, what the details are regarding the nuclear power agreements between the two countries

 

5.  Whether the government has signed or is currently negotiating any bilateral engagements with any countries on energy co-operation and partnerships
