President Cyril Ramaphosa to address the inaugural Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation initiative - The Drakensburg Inclusive Growth Forum

President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Friday, 15 June 2018, deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Drakensburg Inclusive Growth Forum organised under the auspices of the Kgalema Motlanthe Foundation Initiative, at the Champagne Sports Resort, Drakensberg Convention Centre,   KwaZulu-Natal. 

The mission of the Foundation, established by former President Kgalema Motlanthe, is to contribute to socio-economic development of South Africa and the continent through the facilitation of sustainable access to knowledge, education and economic transformation.  It also aims at contributing to the production of a knowledge-based economy, advocating for human rights and social inclusion. 

The Drakensberg Inclusive Growth Forum brings together various stakeholders such as government, business, civil society, including the youth, to jointly share ideas and develop action plans in response to the triple challenges of poverty, inequality and unemployment. 

The keynote address by President Ramaphosa will be part of the Forum, which takes place from the 15th to 17th June 2018, which will focus on various thematic areas amongst others:

    • Land, Employment and Youth
    • 4th Industrial revolution; and
    • Strengthening the State
