President Ramaphosa to open Kokstad Home Affairs Office and hand over Title Deeds

President Cyril Ramaphosa will visit the Greater Kokstad Municipality in Kwazulu-Natal tomorrow, 03 October 2018, to officially open the Kokstad Home Affairs office and hand over 443 title deeds to beneficiaries of the Franklin Housing Project.

The opening of the office forms part of government’s programme to expand the footprint of Home Affairs service delivery points and meet citizens’ demand for Smart ID Cards and other enabling documents.

By availing these services to marginalised communities, the department plays a key role in enabling and deepening democracy and social justice.

President Ramaphosa will also hand over title deeds as part of the restoration programme that aims to ensure that the beneficiaries of government’s housing programme realise the full benefits of owning a house and are brought into the formal property market.

The President will be accompanied by Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba and Minister of Human Settlements, Ms Nomaindia Mfeketo.
