Deputy President David Mabuza to brief Members of Parliament

 

Cape Town – Deputy President David Mabuza will tomorrow, Tuesday, 20 March 2018, respond to questions in the National Assembly at 14h00. 
 
Questions for oral reply are one of the mechanisms utilised by Parliament to hold the National Executive accountable.
 
Tomorrow’s session will be the first time the Deputy President responds to questions in the National Assembly ever since his appointment to the position of Deputy President.
 
During this session, the Deputy President will brief members of parliament on interventions to deal with violence against women and children and on plans to ensure women actively participate in the mainstream economy.
 
Deputy President Mabuza will also have an opportunity to outline the synergy between fee-free quality education and the country’s Human Resource development strategy. 
 
Deputy President Mabuza chairs the Human Resource Development Council of South Africa (HRDCSA), a multi-stakeholder body that creates an enabling, coordinated and integrated environment to focus on improving the human resource development base and skills of the South African people.
 
The Deputy President will also brief the nation on government’s strategy to radically transform the economy, improve social cohesion and nation building working with all social partners.
